Howdee,
Always enjoyed forum...decided to jump in.
Bought 2wd crew cab w/ 25 K . Injectors and dash were recall / repair.
200,000 mile later....1 alternator, 2 sets batteries, brake pads only and oil changes ( 5 K )....that's it!

Now I went to start on Sunday....nada ! Gauges go up with switch "on" then they drop when you go to crank. Checked all fusses, relays, ground wires.....
batteries, solenoid ( no current at small post )'
When I short starter with remote switch she starts, idles high, runs but trans won't shift up, speedo - odometer don't work, neither does A/C.

I changed neutral safety switch, ignition switch and looked for bad ground wire out of TCM......no luck !
What's up ?

Look for chewed up wires under the fuse block. I had a mouse chew up some wires on my truck, and it caused a no crank situation.

LB7 no crank

Ironmax,

Thanks....I did that too and found acorns and slightly chewed wires, but they was only slight insulation removed....no direct cut-throughs.
I taped them up....ok I guess (?)

They don't need to be cut through to cause issues. Small cuts can cause a large voltage drop which will piss off a lot of things including yourself while you trace it down.
