Hello, i have recently purchased a 2004 silverado 2500 with the lb7 engine. The truck has just over 300 000 kms on it, but it was used for a non-oilfield/industrial hotshot company, so it hasnt been bagged and most of the kms are highway use. The guy also has a lot of maintenance records to show how well it was taken care of. I picked it up for cheap off of a friend's friend. With the truck being an lb7, the injectors have failed and the truck has not moved or even been started in a few years, I think he said 4. The guy also thought it had a "coolant leak" because it was blowing white smoke at the time of the injector failure, but he also said he wasnt mechanically inclined whatsoever, and the coolant level is where it should be even after sitting for that long, and he said he never added any... so im hoping and assuming that the light colored smoke was due to the injectors failing. If it is a head gasket, it still doesnt bother me with how cheap i got the truck. Anyways, i have the truck booked in to the injection shop in about 3 weeks time for new injectors, and i was going to see if anyone on here had any tips on things i should do to it so that the injection shop can just replace the injectors and hopefully fire it up without any further issues. I already plan on changing all of the fluids and filters, but if anyone has any further suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Whose shop are you taking the truck to? Fass 150 lift pump or airgdog 165, Nicktane with cat fuel filter. Also run a good thing of fuel additive and should be a pretty solid setup.

They will probably need to replace all of the Hard Fuel lines, even with daily drivin trucks they tend to rust around the connection at the top of the injector.. Some are cleanable some are not,and sitting for 4 years. IM sure yours wont be too cleanable.
