looking to add a system to my truck finally, and have a few questions for you guys.
Please Keep In Mind,Im Looking For More Of A Good Sounding System On A Lower Budget.Dont Need A Huge Hi-End System Just Better Then What I Got, With A Little Bass

i already have the bose premium sound system-are these speakers good to keep? or sound i upgrade them to rockford fosgates?

I want to do a single 10" behind the back seat like my buddy has in his 07 classic crew cab but dont want to spend as much as he did, he has some fancy high dollar custom box that cost a pretty penny (single 10" P2 on driver side/full lenght box/port on passanger side)
although it does sound great i just cant justify spending a ton of money on a box so this is where i ask for your help
is there somewhere online i can get a good quailty sounding box like he has, but without the huge pricetag on it?
if so, can someone point me in the right direction or post a link to said box?

also, i plan on running the same p2 sub in my truck, what would be a good amp to pair it up with?
any other tips and tricks you guys might have for getting/keeping the sound quailty up high is more then welcome to be added.
thanks for looking and thanks in advance for the replies and help!

Build one. I did. Couldn't justify a bunch of money on a wood box. They're not too bad to do, just mock it up with cardboard, then translate it to HDF. Pins, screws, clamps and some wood glue and you're good to go. Some low mat or carpet if you feel ambitious enough to trim it out

I run two 10" Arc Audio subs, pushed by a JL 1200.1 amp. More than enough boom for me.

Ill get some dimensions when I get home. Mine has one 10" on each end, with a divider in the center to seal each side off. A lot depends on the cubic dimensions your subs need to operate correctly.... have to make sure your box will accommodate that.

I used 3/4" HDF for the whole box, double thick on the front sub mounted edge. Put a filler or insulating material in before the subs drop in, that'll make the sound more solid.

If you want to do a ported box, location and size of the port are critical for good sound. Personally, if you don't want some over the top system, I'd stick with a sealed box.
