I was wondering if it is ok to run my truck with the exhaust from before the cat? Will it hurt the motor or the turbo?

no offence, but I feel that Im just as knowledgeable of what it takes to hurt these motors as the next guy...ive blown up two of them in my truck (cracked pistons, put rods through the block, smoked turbos, etc) and built the motors myself as well. 
trust me...it will be fine.
think about all the guys running hood stacks on their trucks.

nah no worries! I understand completely you wanting more than one opinion.
Basically, the reason its fine is the turbo provides all the back pressure that the engine needs to keep from burning valves etc if you run it with only the downpipe and without the exhaust in place... Surprisingly, Its really not even that loud if you run it "open" this way, as well.
