On top of all my truck problems I've been helping a buddy at a local Junkyard swap a 04.5 LLY motor in a 03 LB7.

From what all I've read it should have been plug and okay:
swap complete engine, harness, FICM, and ECM over do a relearn and be good to go.

Well we tried starting the truck Saturday and realized the LB7 ECM was still in. Today we swapped in the LLY ECM tried a relearn and nothing. My Solus shows everything good but were still not getting RPM to the cluster or oil pressure but the Solus shows good.

Anything were missing here?

I'm right in the middle of one of these but its an 02 running the lb7 ecm/tcm/ficm what FICM are you running? and swapping in a LLY ecm woudl require swapping the harness so you would have the right connectors? are you sure you didnt just swap the TCM (on the radiator shroud) they are interchangable. My batteries are shot in the one im doing when i fired it saturday afternoon so i ahve new ones there tonight but mine fired up. it would fire and die and fire and die just like they sometimes do when a battery is dead or shot and Antitheft was kicking in.

Truck has the LLY ECM, (TCM is original to the 03), LLY wiring.

The complete engine, wiring, and PCM from the 04.5 was swapped. Everything else is the original 03 LB7

I didn't read every post word for word but looked like most of that applied to 01-02 trucks. I have a few book marked from actual swap write ups but Im just trying to get a little input on something we forgot or need to do.

I have a Snap-On Solus and a PPE Xcelerator if i can do anything with either of them that benefits.

Check cam and crank signal. I finished up one of these swaps and just so happen about every sensor was bad on the donor lly. By the time it fired up and ran good, my lly had no sensors!

Also you didn't happen to mix the cam and crank sensors up on the harness side when you plugged them in? They will interchange, easy to do.

Ill have to double check that tomorrow, i helped pull motors but wasn't there when they slid the LLY in. But we never removed the harness when we pulled the LLY, thanks for the tip its worth checking, maybe why were not getting RPM signal to the cluster
