02 to 03-07 steering wheel swap?

How are you going to hook up the steering wheel controls? They arent just a bunch of momentary toggle switches.....
The entire electrical system on the 2003+ trucks is 100% different. Not one wiring harness or computer is shared...and that includes the steering wheel controls. Its not going to be possible to make them just "plug in" to your 2001-2002 truck. They use a resistor network to form a big voltage divider, which in turn has its resistance read by the BCM, and the BCM then interprets which function was pressed based on what resistance is returned on the common single wire.........

2001-2002 denali's and 2002 escalades had factory steering wheel controls (with the old 01-02 style wheel).
You can add those. They will only work with the factory 2001-2002 radio though.
