I thought I had read enough saying I wouldn't need to be smogged. I thought I would be exempt.

What would be required for an 02 fed emission lb7?

If you have a fed emission you should be good. Since your truck didn't come with a CAT or EGR. The only thing you would have to worry about is any codes and smoke when they rev it. You don't have to retrofit your truck

If its fed emission you dont really need anything, But, The inly aftermarket parts that will pass is, intake, exhaust, Im sure you wont have an issue with efilive turned down, and a fuel system is also legal, So judging by your sig you should be fine!

So I misunderstood previous posts.

How far back does the smog check go. I plan on twins next year...one of the reasons I kept the 02.

Am I going to need to worry about that next time I have to smog?

Yes... Unfortunately you will, the diesel smog law is for 98 and new trucks...even the 98 12 valve dodges have to! Bullish!t! Unless you know someone that live in a smaller county, like us up here in siskiyou only have to smog when we buy or sell a vehicle.. There are a couple other counties that are that way... You would have to register your truck there.
