Today I was tooling around and cane to a stop on some packed snow. As I applied the brakes my front left brake locked up and I felt the pedal mash to the floor and it sounded like the ABS was trying to work... Ticking noise and could feel it in the brake pedal. When I turned left I could feel that the 4wheel drive had engaged somehow. The light on the button controls showed no engagement of 4 wheel hi as it still showed 2hi.
Did my business in the store and it was fine after that as I had backed out of the parking spot.
I have noticed the brakes being soft and the left front brake not working correctly. I just got this truck a few months ago and the problem didn't exist until an "emergency" braking situation in high traffic. However, the dealer did say that the ABS light was on and they "fixed the problem."
Any ideas as to what should be done...as far as what I could do mechanically. I don't like spending money at a shop if its something I can do. Anybody have this issue before?
