Alrite I'm new to efi so I'm learning as I go. But here is my problem. I read stock tune and converted to to dsp os using v7.5 now when trying to flash in my dsp5 tune on v8 I'm getting a no data recieved error. Truck will not even attemp to start. So I tried flashing stock tune back in on v7.5 and am getting no connection error. Any help is greatly appreciated been trying to get this thing flashed for 3 days now.

$0101 is usually due to 1 of 2 things. Try disconnecting everything and reconnecting, provided your software and firmware are up to date. Mismatching software and firmware will cause this issue, and each new release tightens the read/flash process.

What software and firmware versions are you running? Our latest is dated April 23 for both V7 and V8 along with firmware.

I did a search on the EFILive forum, and came up with a couple of threads you may find useful. I just can't figure out how to copy and paste links through tapatalk, so you may want to pop over there and take a quick look.

Cheers

I've had that error before and I disconnected the v2 from laptop and truck and disconnected the batteries in the truck. Hooked them back up and it worked.

I've tried all that several times. This is day 4 that I've been trying to get this thing flashed. Truck will not start or even try to like it is now. And I can not flash my stock tune back in.

You can open both V7 and V8 and click on HELP>ABOUT to see your version numbers, and then in the V8 Scan and Tune software and click on the [Check Firmware] button.

Your V7 software needs to be build 230. V8 224 and firmware V2.07.39

You will need to raise a support issue either through our help desk or on our forum.

My suggestion would be to use the forum. It's Saturday morning here, so our offices are closed until Monday, but the forum is usually monitored.

Edit....just reading your truck won't ruin your ECM. Have you disconnected the batteries for 30 seconds and tried again?

And, if that doesn't work and you do post on our forum, please list your software and version numbers in the post....that will just speed inks up a little.
