I'm guessing this causes issues but would my 01 dsp5 work in an 04 if I ful flash the operating system along with it?

Yes this tune is the most current lb7 operating system, so would it be an issue to flash an 04? Would anything not work?

Oil pressure gauge will cease to work if you flash an 01-02 OS into an 03-04 truck. You can also lose your A/C, cruise, high idle, power windows can go nuts for no reason, and so on and so on. The 01 OS is pretty crumby in all fairness(even the most up to date 01 OS), and thats why most ditch it for an 02 OS. Also if you flash an 01 OS into an 02-04 truck, and then flash back to your 04, you can corrupt the change engine oil portion of the ECM and it will constantly tell you the change engine oil message no matter how many times you reset it. And it's not like you can even script an 01 tune into a late 02+ as the 01 OS was scaled differently in several tables, and will make for a CRAPPY running truck if you do so. These are just part of the reasons why you ALWAYS use the tune from the truck you are tuning as your base file, or make dam certain the tune you are using has matching segments to the tune the truck needs in it.
