I stayed at my friends house last night and it hit 0 degrees. Well I couldn't really plug my truck in because I had to park down the street. Went to start it this morning hoping for the best. Cycled the glow plugs about 5 times, Attempted to start it. No luck. (popping) Cycled the plugs again. No luck. Repeat. My truck was popping and would run for 1-3 seconds then die Sounded so horrible when it finally did start. I can't even explain it. Maybe something along the lines of a 10 pound sledge hammer hitting a solid oak door for 3 minutes straight?

I couldn't believe it started though. My dads LLY would start no problem in this weather. I don't know what I'll do next year at college if my truck sits for DAYS while I'm there. :(

Sounds like a fuel issue to me. FWIW my LB7 has started in below zero temps many times without much fuss. The combo of glowplugs and intake heater should start it. I am willing to bet your fuel was thick.
