    I have never seen them look on the front either but its better piece if mind to know if a freak accident happens its there. I know they asked me in Bakersfield about them and I told them they aren't needed til you run drag radials or slicks and or go 11.49. I will be putting some on my truck...

    The rear drive shaft needs a loop within 6 inches of the first u joint after the t case. The front I would assume it needs to be within 6 inches of the front u joint at the diff.

    When I crashed my chevy a couple years ago it was almost totaled. They told me the value of the truck was 25,000 and I could have bought the truck back for 2,000 so I would have got the truck plus 23,000 cash.

    Boise would be my suggestion as we are getting into the cooler months up here and the corrected altitude gets better. Halloween classic is the last big race here and I tell people 4 days of racing and 4 nights of drunken fun around a bon fire.

    Oil pressure was a typical duramax pressure this noise was constant no matter the temperature. It honestly sounded like a turbo surge or my boss said it was like the three stoges were in there.

    So a customer brought in his truck complaining of a strange noise at idle and when revved up to about 1400-1600 rpm. So we start checking all the pulleys on the motor, thay all check out fine. So we pull the water pump out and everything looks fine. We are stumped so with just the balancer...

    I tore a truck apart that had the same break in the same spot don't know exactly what happened just know the crank was cracked.

    Embarrassing...but SWEET RELIEF!!!

    We pull the cabs to do head work on any of the v8 diesels because it is easier on us as techs to not have to lay over the fenders. Plus it only really adds a couple extra hours. <Moose>
