    I have seen the impossible!

Still Running Strong Well I now have just over 50,000 miles on my truck since the engine swap and still no mechanical or electrical issues. :thumb::thumb:

    I have seen the impossible!

If you have access to the proper tools, then yes, it is relatively easy. Just make sure you only remove one wire at a time from the FICM connectors so you can keep track of which wire goes where.

    I have seen the impossible!

I tried this approach with a stock LLY tune but had poor results. I would love to hear what method a “Pro EFILive Tuner” would take to address the issue of the rough idle that I experienced.

    I have seen the impossible!

The only necessary changes I made were to the Injection Timing (C) and Injection Timing After Pilot (C,D) tables. I raised the lowest numbers on the chart up to 12.5 degrees and smoothed up the surrounding cells to tie it all together. I would start out by trying to keep the timing as low to...

    I have seen the impossible!

Good Questions... My reason for swapping out the cam and crank sensors was that since I was moving the needed wires from the LLY harness to the LB7 harness it was two less wires to move. The sensors use different style connectors and are easier to swap than the wires. As for just plugging...

    I have seen the impossible!

This is for everyone who has asked about or has ever wanted to swap a LLY in place of a LB7, or has wanted to replace the heads to use the newer injectors. First of all my goal was to have a LLY run with LB7 electronics. This means I’m using the ECM, FICM and TCM that originally came on my...

    I have seen the impossible!

I made a mistake on my previous post; I'll try to edit it to prevent confution for future viewers. I'm using the LB7 ECM and FICM. I tried using the LLY FICM at first but I was unable to get the computers to comunicate using EFI Live. This is when I called Bosch and talked to an engineer to...

    I have seen the impossible!

Thank you MadMaxx61. I usually do alot of reading on all of the Duramax sites, but I would rather stay out of all of the Political BS so I usually dont bother posting.

    I have seen the impossible!

I "unpluged" the injector wires from the LLY harness and "pluged" them into the LB7 harness at the FICM connector. This is very simple if you have the right tools.

    I have seen the impossible!

My Truck Ok, this is my truck we are talking about here. For starters I would like everyone to know that this thread should NOT be about weather or not it can be done, or why one would want to do it, but more "how it was done". I’ll try to answer some of the simple question now but I don’t...
