Differences in ignition cylinders
I’ll give the local dealer a call and see what that would run me. If getting the door cylinders out is that big of a pain, then this is sounding like my best bet. Originally I was thinking that I would still have to pull at least one door lock to get the combo but if a key wont cost too much...- JK13

Ok, maybe I'm just real dense, but to have 1 key for the doors and ignition I'd still have to pull at least 1 door cylinder to get the tumbler combo, and the ignition cylinder to change the tumbler combo? Is pulling 1 more door cylinder really THAT bad? The key or tumbler is worn, so the...- JK13

See the red, at least thats the reasoning behind my idea I’ve found matching sets of a ignition cylinder, door tumblers and 3 keys for ~$100 so not to expensive, cheaper than a locksmith around here thats for sure. Still curious to if theres any difference between the auto and manual trans...- JK13

Luckily my truck is an Federal Emissions ‘01, so no cat, egr, nothing to delete or keep for the visual (Just as God intended lol)...just dont wanna shoot my foot on the obd portion or throttle snap. Thats good news, so a single tune plus the LB7s old data tech shouldn't hang up the machine... -

Yeah thats how it was last time I had to smog a diesel too, but thats been about 5 years now. Thats thing I’m still trying to figure out, hoping @gmduramax might have some insight on this -

lol it is, I was more curious if there was any technical differences Now that raises a good point, I do live in California so smog testing is something I have to consider. Would the 45’s be too smokey with a factory tune? Do you have biannual testing in your county? -
