    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

Hey Bro, What gas pedal did you use? Stock Duramax? Lokar makes an electric pedal, but not sure how the integration with those work.

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

The floor pan, trunk pan, seat brackets, and mini tubs have been installed. The real tail panel will be replaced next, then the quarter panels. I'm having the drip rails shaved as well.

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

I'm in the process of tearing down the engine to clean it up. I believe there's a small oil leak between the upper oil pan and timing cover. There also appears to be a leak between the upper and lower oil pan on both sides of the engine. Thoughts? In addition, this engine has about 130k...

    Cynergy Trailer review

I have an 22' Kaufman trailer that I recommend. Solid piece of steal that has held up to what I have thrown at it. Pulls super nice up the mountains.

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

Sounds good to me. I've read your build thread several times. You did an amazing job and the car looks sick! I'm sure I will have tons of questions when we get to the point of installing the engine.

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

Sick looking Chevelle! Yes I had an brain fart about the Down pipe size. we haven’t decided how we wanted to tackle the exhaust yet. Did you have to make custom motor mounts? What about the oil pan? Did you have to chop the height down?

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

I think we should have an enough room. My only concern is the downpipe. Clearing the frame might be an challenge, especially if the tubing is 5" diameter.

    1968 Camaro Build W/ Duramax

Hey guys! I thought I would share my build and the progress for the next several months. I'm placing an LMM Duramax in a 68 Camaro. I picked up the car about 6 years ago. I wanted to drive the car for a while before tearing it apart, but after some small electrical problems that exposed...

    Glow Plug Deletion Question

Thanks for the info guys. That’s what I was hoping to hear. One of the glow plugs on this salvage engine looks damaged. The threaded stud is slightly bent. I will pull these glow plugs and put blanks in.

    Glow Plug Deletion Question

Hi Guys, For the guys that have removed their glow plugs, what's the lowest ambient temperature that you have started your truck without any issues? I understand it will take more cranking amps to turn over a cold engine, just wondering if there's a certain temperature that these engines...

Thank you everyone for the response and help. I made an offer on the LMM and he took it. I will be picking it up tomorrow. The car is at the fabricator to have the sheet metal replace. I will start an build threat in the near future.

Could you explain what changed from 01-02 to 03-04? Sounds like some mechanical design changed.

Best Duramax engine model for performance?

That could be an option. Dealing with the emission stuff on those motors sucks.

Best Duramax engine model for performance?

The LMM with 135K is $4K. The LB7 is $2.5K. However it needs new injectors. I might be able to talk down the LB7 guy.

Best Duramax engine model for performance?

LBZ would be ideal IMO. I'm having a difficult time finding duramax engines.

Best Duramax engine model for performance?

I have tons of experience with the LMM. The engine will be dropped in a Camaro in the next couple of months. I thought the LB7 would be more simple to install. Less emissions and stuff, but I wasn't sure how the mechanical side on the LB7 holds up.
