Change guage package--Truck no work?
The gauge clusters are indeed not compatible between the different gen's. I put the old cluster back in and still have the same results as with the 03 set. I am guessing I am now down to having the VATS fixed/flashed? The dealer charges $100. I can live with that I guess. Got to learn the...- fly912

Cluster fits fine, plug is the same, gauges are all the same. Thought it would be fine. I did check all fuses. I will go back and see again tonight. This is what I am going to do: put original gauges back in check fuses, try to start. Original gauges are broke, but truck still worked/run...- fly912

Change guage package--Truck no work?
Just tried to start it in neutral, no luck. Yup, the shift lever is showing that it is in park (no blink). Electronics for lever are working correctly as far as I can tell, engine only turns in "P" and "N" as it should. My guess is the security thing as well, especially because the door locks...- fly912

I know,I know, first post. I'm the newbe... Got a Q for the vets here. I have an 01 Duramax with no mods that is giving me fits. It was a work truck and I am trying to polish it up a bit. Ran fine yesterday, did some work on it today and now won't start. I have been searching on here...- fly912
