So....picked a truck for cheap recently as a crank/no start. Found out it had a cam dowel that let go and bent push rods. I pulled the motor, had the cam keyed, reworked the heads (all new valves), replaced pushrods and rocker assemblies, replaced injectors and some other parts including FPR...
So I picked up an 02 2500hd crank/no start for cheap. Long story short, I tore into it and found that all 8 push rods were bent and of course tearing up all the valve bridges and the stem of 1 valve. So I'm reading about the cam pin shearing and went to investigate. I haven't pull the cam gear...
So injector command numbers are bouncing around while cranking and cam signal is present although I did get a few counts of a missed cam reference. Im assuming that if inj command numbers are moving the injectors are being told to fire correct?
