Why standoffs on CP3 hardware?
You may be right. The only other explanation I can think of would be that a longer bolt is able to stretch more than a shorter one.- pelagic

Why standoffs on CP3 hardware?
Does anyone know the answer to this? From a mechanical standpoint, I don't understand why standoffs are used. Similarly, why are standoffs used on Cummins exhaust manifold bolts?- pelagic
