    I don't think the oil is coming from the plastic piece in your last picture. That looks like mount for the wiring harness. Your going to have to clean up all the oil really well and then keep a look out for where it's leaking. Probably not anything I would worry about unless it's under...

    Put a Whipple on a 1500. Lots of low end power and a lot less weight. Probably better mileage too.

    Still doesn't seem like a wide spread problem. So I still have faith in the Duramax. Definitely take it iver a Ram right now. Ford seems to be the only one without major mechanical issues right now. You just have to worry about fuel leaks that burn the trucks to the ground
