Well hell sorry to hear about Henry. Its been awhile for myself as well but this will always be my go to place for advice and help.
Idk what their warranty is. Just cant stand the warranty that tries to skirt the protections of the consumer. I get it isnt under warranty but 299 seems a bit high...
Airdog II 165 motor took a chit over the weekend. Called just now and talked to tech dept and man what a joke. Dude was rude af and wants $299 for a new motor. No sense of humor at all. I bought this unit used last winter from a friend so theres no warranty card to send in as he just had it...
Heres the million dollar question..... where the hell do you find one nowadays? I cant find anything.
Also will friends LML tcm work in mine without any programming or no?
Bout had it with this damn truck. Head gaskets last month now this. How common is it for the TCM to go bad in these? I have not looked at the wiring harness yet as its dark outside but will do tomorrow. I have no DIC messages and have to clear codes every few miles on the CTS2 to get it to act...
Going thru same thing right now except it was like urs for a lil while then all shit hit the fan and cant even drive it now more than 1 mile. If that upper hose is hard over night and pressure still in reservoir Id say hg's. Trust me I tried to talk myself out of it for months too. 130k on mine
Like these from Rick. If I did these on my stock y bridge then I could use a stock LB7 up pipe and completely remove the egr shit? Is there any coolant rerouting? https://profabperformance.com/product/lml-bridge-egr-blocker-plate/
So bout ready to do head gaskets. Have already had this LML deleted since 34k miles but egr is still on engine. No block off or anything just done via tuning by Tony. Now I want to get rid of entire thing with lb7 up pipe. Is there a way to keep my stock y bridge as to not buy the new 3" and all...
Is Kyle at Crank it Up still in this game? Trusted?
Does $5k for both hg's and arp studs sound reasonable for labor and materials? I think so but like I said Ive been away from diesels for awhile.
Well of course I texted Jeff Dean last night and hes out of the game. Sold his shop and tools so back to square one.
Yea as far as vendor just a parts bundle like Sinnister makes for hg changes.
Shit I forgot about Jeff. Good thinking. I know him personally too as we are always at the same tracks together on the gasser side of things.
Ive tried to get ahold of Jones for 2 weeks now to no avail.
Firepunk said they dont do Duramax which I thought was weird but whatever.
I have been out...
I cant seem to get in touch with anyone around here about doing headgaskets on my LML. ANyone used anyone good around here? Or Ohio in general I guess.
Also what HG's is everyone buying? Ive heard C's and aftermarket. Im going ARP just because I believe anything with a turbo should have those...
No different here in Ohio. I get calls and letters wanting to buy my 2011 for what I paid for it in 2015. Cant replace it for that so no go but yea I get it. Its stupid what people are asking. Tried to order a new enclosed trailer for work that is custom spec'ed and every manufacturer Ive talked...
Any one brand better than the rest? It seems Delco has been hit or miss in past few years on regular gas engine stuff for me so didnt know if one brand was better or all the same with the duramax. Not really looking forward to this repair. Would I benefit from doing the egr delete and/or pvc...
Been awhile since been here but hope all are well. Anyways the LML seems to be leaking at the lower flange of the waterpump that looks like the typical sbc t stat housing. Sorry cant explain very well but thats from looking up from underneath since I just did my pitman arm. What a fun job that...
