Glad to see there are people out there that can see through the whining bashing and senseless (MY turbo and pistons are bigger than yours) nonesense. :thumb: Sorry, I just had to give myself one more excuse to give Bryan one more reason to post....;)

    Help: CP3 Mount Bracket Issue

Ok, I am on the downhill side of my upgrade/overhaul and I have purchased an LBz CP3 to replace my LB7 CP3. I am to the point of putting the new unit back in the truck and have found something that has me baffled and need input from anyone. The issue? I transferred the mounting bracket and...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Sarcaasm not withstanding. No matter what the cause, it happened and when I am trying to diagnose a failure, I would like to fully understand the circumstances involved. Yes ben, I KNOW that I don't have a built truck that races all the time, that is why I was asking in the first place. If...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

OH, one last interesting tidbit that kind of surprised us as well, when the bolt broke, instead of breaking at the threshold where the cap meets the block, it broke about a 1/4inch deep into the cap. I would imagine that makes the defective bolt more plausible.

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Ok, we wound up doing just that. My buddy was able to get the broken easy out tip and the bolt end out of the cap. He chased the threads and the bolt goes in fine and has no "play" or wiggle when fully inserted. It is as tight as the other side. So I am going to try to reuse for now. I do...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Also, if I go with Socal caps, those would need to be line bored instead of just honed? Am I on the right track there? And, if I go that route, understanding that I use the truck for hauling and not for wild tuning, racing or sledpulling; would the added expense of billet everything else to go...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

But if the old cap is salvageable, would it be ok to put that one back and run it at least temporarily until I get everything I need? Like I said, the bearings looked good...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

I may take you up on that. If you have a block that would work, shoot me a price in a pm if you don't mind...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Most all of those I have seen had the same discoloration on the rocker arms, but I am at a loos as to why that bolt broke. Except for the fact that I was "Forced" (so to speak) into running my hot tune while hauling, but at the time I only had a tri-axle gooseneck behind it running empty. Now...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Ok, first of all, sorry for the delay. I was subscribed but the notifications didn't make it home. But, I broke the second from the back on the passenger side. I think it may have been a combination of pulling/hauling with a decent tune coupled with a leaking injector sleeve. At some points...

Question: LB7 Main Bearing Cap Side Bolts.

Ok, I broke one on the passenger side right behind the starter. I attempted to back it out with an easy out, but that broke too. Since I was already going through the rest of the engine, (top end is done), I am pulling the engine and wanted to know if anyone else has broken the side bolts and...

Help: ABS Has me STUMPED, any help will be appreciated!!!

I actually thought about that too, I bought the hubs at Carquest and the sensors were OEM. One of the reasons when I sanded the hub I got into it pretty good thinking maybe the tolerances on the hub may not have been a little off. And you are right, that description of how to test the...

Help: ABS Has me STUMPED, any help will be appreciated!!!

I appreciate all the help guys! I did figure it out though. Like stated, I tested the sensor with a meter and the sensor wasn't working. SO, I went a little deeper assuming that the sensitivity was like you mentioned Chevy1925, and I took it back off and although I had already hit the top of...
