Another update: After reading some forums on this and many people blaming the selector switch, I replaced that just to eliminate that possibility. I made certain the encoder motor moved appropriately with the switch. And it did. I drove it after that with the encoder motor plugged in about...- rickb

Update again: I got with the last mechanic and asked if I could unplug the transfer case actuator/encoder motor to see if it still experienced the symptom. It did. I am 90% sure that it is only in the front that is doing this. Possibly the front differential or something.- rickb

Update: After being in 3 different shops, we thought we had figured it out. I have EFI Live with Kory Willis tunes and used my old BullyDog just as a monitor. The BullyDog got to where it would not stay powered on and just go into a fast loop of rebooting unless I supplied power to it through...- rickb

It sounds similar. Except not quite harsh enough to chirp the tires. But close! I have had both front and rear differentials and the transmission serviced all at once. Still does it. And again, my transfer case is newly rebuilt (exchanged old for core) by Kodiak Trucks shop.- rickb

I hope someone can help me with an idea of what could possibly be the problem. I have a Kodiak Trucks transfer case installed recently, and it was successfully programmed/learned. When getting up around highway speeds, something weird happens intermittently. It's almost like something binds...- rickb
