    Rob's tuning on the race truck for life! Hitting the track on saturday. Have 700us more to run with another .125 jet of nitrous. I think I may get thrown off the track if all goes as planned. Hoping to cut 1000lbs next year and couple that with a few more ponies....:D

    I really want to get back into the mile and 1/2 mile stuff. It is a lot of fun. Was going to hit the colorado mile, but it conflicts with the Alligator event this year. I will be making it a point to go to a couple of these next year.

    kryptonite race centerlink with heims

    While my truck currently only weighs 7500lbs in race trim and I do drop the t-bars when racing, the first 3 years of it racing was at 8200lbs on 20" wheels with 305/55/20's. All the street play, the t-bars were not dropped and I was running Mickey Thomson 305/55/20's mtz's. Not exactly light.

    I have run the kryptoite competition front end for 5 years. Close to 1000 1/4 mile passes at 800+ horsepower. More street play than I care to say. Was driven everyday for a long time. Close to 100k miles on it. Still going strong.

    Pro and cons for dropping to 3.42 gears

    My lbz has 3.42's and I drive on a 265/75/16 tire when towing. I did not see any mileage gain from the gear change. It also leave you with lees than ideal rpm windows versus speed. Truck is happy at 78mph plus in 5th gear putting it right at 1900-2000rpm. In 4th gear I am turning 2000 rpm at...
