    SIA told me it was beyond repair. What could cause the ficm to fail? I have a hard time believing this is bad luck. I suppose its possible, but my concern is that the truck will burn up another $2k part.

    LLY: Surging idle, loud

    I just replaced the fpr in my LLY. Not a bad job, but the torx bolts holding it in are a pain without the right tool. A regular socket will not work.

    Maybe it is. Where is the other end of that connector? I don't see anything else disconnected and its only long enough to reach the ac compressor

    I'm trying to button up my lly. I pulled the turbo to seal the drain and replaced my fpr. For the life of me I can't remember when I disconnected this or where it goes sucks getting old thanks in advance guys!

    After some investigating, I found the source of the oil to be the turbo. Looks like its the drain after all. I think I'm going to tackle this one myself.

    I'm not sure if the turbo has ever been off. I bought the truck last summer and only put about 8k miles on it since. I'm going to have a look and see if I can't find the source. Otherwise, I guess I'll be making a road trip. Thanks for the suggestions!

    I believe it's the upper oil pan. The leak isn't as bad as I thought. I must have checked the oil on unlevel ground. Been working too many night shifts, I guess.
