    New to the site

    I really like the way the tranny downshifts when pulling my boat, I barely need to use the brakes, that is a definite plus over the ford I had. I also like how quiet the dmax is.

    I had a 7.3 powerstroke before this one, that I ran up to about 240k miles, the engine was good but the truck had some other costly issues so I traded it on the 05 Duramax I have now. I am a little disappointed with the gelling issues, I had my Ford in some nasty cold and never had an issue...

    New to the site

    Hi all, I live in Mn and just over a year ago bought my first duramax, a 2005 a 2500HD crewcab long box. Prior to this one I have always owned ford trucks mostly gas and one diesel prior to the Chev I am driving now. Found this site this morning.....and thought I would register. John
