    Thanks Wolflly, is that 1000 hp with standard crank rods and pistons but with a modified head? If I'm going to modify the head, should I begin with a 24 valve motor 5.9 Cummins or as the head is being worked could I get away with and still have the same effect if I used the 12 valve motor...

    New kid here

    Hi all, I've been reading about diesels for a while then saw a car street magazine last night with a twin turbo Duramax 6600 in it and I was hooked. Googled stuff about the Duramax and found this site...so I'll be asking a few questions soon.
