Like you said, that upshift is what brings out the limp. However, I find on mine, that holding that extra second or two in 4th usually gets me a 1093. Gonna try and run it this week before I put the lift pump on, see what a tune only (EFI) will get me... :D- whitetrash21

In a 3500lb car its feasible. I dont think its doable in our trucks though. Too heavy- whitetrash21

Kinda what I figured. Thanks In that case, I'm out of ideas. BTW if fuel is in the crankcase, it'll be hard to see on the dipstick..... Drip some on a paper towel and watch what happens. Injector could be leaking fuel into the cc as well as pressurizing the cooling system. My old truck showed signs of both when the injectors failed, but that was an lb7. Not sure if an lly wpuld do that.- whitetrash21

If you dont have coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant taank, seems umlikely its a hg. Sutr sogns of a hg are those mentioned. If theres no foreign material in eithir of those then the hg is still doin its job. Only other hg issue is blown to the outside pf the block in which case you'll...- whitetrash21

Depends how long its been in there. The dipatick markers indicate one-two quarts low when not showin oil on it. Coolant reservoir habe black crap in it?- whitetrash21

LBZ: what chip to go with ppe efi live
Neither of those are "chips"... both reflash your ecm to change the tune structure. PPE is plug and play.... great tuner, easy to use. EFI live will give you greater range to mess with you tunes.
