    No guarantee, but pulling the bolts and dropping studs in couldn't hurt your odds. Studs will clamp a little better and be torqued a little more accurately than bolts. If you haven't popped a HG now, it couldn't hurt to do the swap. Wish I had... mighta made the stock gaskets last a little...

    PPE has tunes far and above 160hp... so do other tuners. Off hand, I know Quadzilla tunes (rated as rwhp) are good up to 215, and PPE goes up to 400+ with supporting fuel/turbo upgrades. If you use EFI Live, you can build tunes as big as you wants providing you have the hard parts to support it.

    Several Issues..

    If you have an air leak, it could be draining back to the tank when the nose sits higher than the back. As far as deleting the stocker, I wouldn't do it unless you have a lift pump. That way you won't need the hand pump to prime the fuel system and you can remove the whole filter housing and pump.

    If you got the time and ability, do it yourself. Save a couple thousand that way. You're right though, it ain't cheap...... although that's all relative when you're on a forum full of built motor trucks.... :rofl:

    Can't speak for the first 40,000 miles on my truck, but the last 63k I've put on and never once overheated. Runs a big-ish tune occasionally and hauls lots of weight, so it definitely works, but have never overheated it. Highest I've ever seen ECT was 215 and that was on a WOT run up a hill...

    Must just be my luck :D Truck runs like a raped ape, even with the amount of weight I carry in it. Trans is what amazes me. Its still surviving with the amount of abuse I throw at it. :rofl: Guess I got a monday truck....:D

    I have an 05 that has a blown HG. Stock turbo. Not sure how running more boost or bigger tunes to accommodate a bigger turbo is gonna not blow a HG. I thought the gasket type changed for the LBZ and up..... and all the 01-05 trucks have the same type.???
