    Tight spot rotating engine

Could there be something in the oil pump? The oil pump is 1 to 1 ratio if I remember. As far as the water pump, I'm thinking it's 1 to 1 but really it's been too long. This is a long shot, but if you have a way to turn the engine over fast, you could see if you get a clunk or tapping noise...

    Tight spot rotating engine

This may be elementary, but have you eliminated the water pump as well as drive accessories as a possible problem? Accessories probably won't give you a consistent location as you have mentioned, but start with the easy and then go onto the rest. Good luck to ya Lonnie.

    Trim Valve Questions

I'd be afraid I'd push something through the screen while cleaning it. If a screen gets miss shaped, while cleaning, all sorts of issues will arise. I'd just buy another and be done with it. As George and Mike L. have said, be as clean as " Surgery ".

    Gearing

Ya, that additive for the rear is very important. It helps with the locking of the gov lock rear. Lube actually causes the clutches to bit and therefore turn the mechanism to lock the rear.

    Trim Valve Questions

Ya MaxFarmer, you gotta separate that valve body. Once separated you can move the valves with a pick or something to free them. Be careful not to scratch or damage the bores or valves. You may be having problems with the plugs that the springs are held against if I had to guess.

    Gearing

I'm thinking of changing my gears as well but I'm wanting to change it to a higher gear. I don't care to change the tire size anymore so higher would be my solution for toasting 33's at most speeds. Just curious as to why you think your tires size is causing transmission troubles?

Yes I do. It's got to be fixed no matter who is to blame. Although your buddy is the one that tightened it. I sure hope it's not the sealer he put on it that is leaking. But oh well, it's not the rear and to each side that is leaking so he's good. :D
