    99-02 Denali Grille Upgrade

Has anyone put a Denali Grille in a regular GMC? After a deer incident with my '01 Yukon, the grille cracked below the headlight, I need a new one. Since I already have an fake Denali insert in it, I thought i would just buy the real one. Has anyone done his? Any major problems? I will...

    '82 Duramax Swap Pictures

Thanks for the compliments. Kat, The truck did not get its needed attention last week...... I had a run of fuel systems to complete, so I could not work on it. I finally got caught up on my work Saturday, but it ended up being 68deg here (70 was an all time record for that day in...

    Speed Week 08 on TV:

It is hard to believe that a show I actually want to watch is not replayed, but every other time I sit down in front of the TV all I see are repeats.

Mike... you sell spin ons over the phone?

Once you do business with Mike, you will go out of your way to buy from him again. It's hard to put a price on tech support, especially when he gives you his cell # to call him at 8:00pm during a trans build.....

    Inboard brakes?

The disadvantage is there is no preload on the axles, giving them a shock when you release the brakes. I do not think you would see any advantage in doing this.

Using LLY bridge without EGR components

1lowdiesel, Good idea with the plate. I have to make something to block the 2 egr ports anyway, this will work well. Simon, True I could use a LB7 one, but I already painted the one I had. Michael, I removed it since it was 1 more piece of clutter under the hood I did not need. There is...

    LLY frontpipe options

Kat, I'm just strategizing for my Christmas vacation. I need to get a radiator so I can start mounting it & the intercooler, as well as I'm planning to start the front exhaust. There is still a pile of Camaro & Corvette fuel pumps, fuel tanks & lines sitting in front of & under it, so I'm...

Using LLY bridge without EGR components

What is everyone doing, when removing the entire EGR heat exchanger, to keep the bridge & elbow together? It seems like it will come apart without the heat exchanger holding the elbow in place. Short of a tackweld, does anyone have a good way to permanently attach these parts? Thanks...

    LLY frontpipe options

Simon, thanks for renaming the post. As for all normally available front pipes, arent they only 4"? I figured I would stay away from a downpipe for the time being. I know eventually there will be a turbo swap in my future & then I'll build a custom matching downpipe. I have to have...

    LLY frontpipe options

Sorry, I accidently labeled the post "downpipe", but I posted my question about the front pipe..... Looking to build exhaust from the downpipe back. One of these days, I may do a different turbo/downpipe, but for now it will stay stock. Just looking for exhaust options. Seems odd for me...

    LLY frontpipe options

Anyone have any info on a 5" front pipe? I see Magnaflow is making one that steps up after the 90deg bend, but what size is the rear section? Does anyone have one? I'm asuming it does not have a big effect on power, but looks cool. Anyone have experience with power outputs using a bigger...

    Timeline of your truck.

Kat, It has a front end on it now, I just never got any pictures. It's covered up as I'm working near it in the garage & didn't want to mess up the paint. I'm actually hoping the car bsiness slows down a little during Christmas so I have time to work on it.

    Strange Blower -

The only thing about the twin charged GTO, is both chargers appear to be turning the same speed (look at the pulley sizes), therefore the additional charger is nothing more than a decoration.

    Rear end question

LSD additive may make the vehicle see all sorts of things. If you take some you may see the road melt.... lol. Seriously, limited slip additive may help, but you should not try to spin the tires hard when the vehicle is on a bind, such as turning as it will excessively load 1 wheel & stress...
