    Can a 4L80E handle a Duramax?

    I have a customer with a 1018rwhp GTO & 915ftlb torque through a 4L80E at over 4000lb (9.1@151), so they are pretty tuff, but diesel torque gets pretty extreme. My 4L80E has 300M input & output shafts, transbrake & 5 disk lockup clutch, but it is slated for a 1000rwhp Camaro. Lots of cool...

    '82 Duramax Swap Pictures

    Transfercase control is countersunk on left. A/C vent is on right. Still have to cut out bottom for light switch & larger 1/2 DIN radio. A full DIN unfortunately just does not quite fit.... now I'll have to use a flip up DVD instead of a fixed face one.
