    Supercharger reliability????

Cog belts are not normally recommended for street driving. Due to RPM fluctuations, the inertia of the charger tends to keep it spinning when the engine rpm drops, this can cause belt fatigue & remove belt teeth prematurely. For the street, I recommend a serpentine drive. 12 rib kits are...

    '82 Duramax Swap Pictures

Cut the pedals off of both & welded the old pedal shaft to the new pivot arm & then redrilled the new pedal so it bolts in the factory location.

    My 82 C30

Cool.... we could use a few more old style trucks on here. I always wanted to put a big pair of MT 33x21.50's under the rear of a dually.

    Benelli

I like my Benelli, but I think it is made for hunting people..... Shoots anything from field loads to magnum slugs... even 1 handed. Can fire about 3 rounds per second if you can pull the trigger fast enough.

Another Police officer shot and killed in the line of Duty

Definitely getting worse here. If the laws were made to protect those defending themselves, instead of trying to protect criminals "rights", maybe more law abiding citizens would not get hurt. In this day, you almost have to get shot before it is OK to shoot back. If everyone had guns, I...

Using the 2005 column with radio controls, DIC etc. Dash took way too long to build. Probably over a week in it so far & I still have to cut it for the radio & steering column. Probably will consume 100hrs before I'm done..... Putting the dash together now. Got the new heater box...

    Cryo stock Rods?

It is my understanding that cryo treatment is used to help prevent fractures. Bending the rods is another matter which is related to ultimate strength.

It is mounted to the crossmember I built.... the 1 thing I seemed to forget to take a picture of before I put it on. Unfortunately it is too close to the floor to get a good picture. I'll have some underfloor photos once I get the interior done & pick it back up..... unfortunately it may be...

    '82 Duramax Swap Pictures

Made a little progress this weekend. Added some MegaMat to quiet the noise. It really hurt to cover my nice paint.... Got the firewall plate permanently installed. Added a dash picture... although not finished yet. I still have to modify the radio opening & modify the...

Info: Not a normal post from me.

Kat, Best of luck on the results. Fortunately the majority of the cysts/tumors end up being nothing to worry about. My mom had a similar scare a few years back & it ended up being OK. I would seek a few different opinions & have anything removed if even the least bit questionable. The...

    Ruger>S&W

Unfortunately stupidity will always win over strength. But to your statement, I love my Ruger Super Redhawk. They are basically overbuilt & withstand a lot of use. I've seen the S&Ws break like this before & it is not that uncommon with someone trying very hot loads. I hand load 300grain...

    Fuel level sending unit...

The sensor is very easy to change so I would do it before buying a whole fuel bucket. Check your resistance to see if it matches the gauge reading. please verify, but I think it reads 40-250 ohms empty to full.

    acetone

Yes, tolulene is good for gas engines. It is 116 octane & has a near identical air/fuel ratio to gasoline. Works great as an octane booster up to a 20% mix. For the price it works very well & you can buy it at better paint stores like Sherwin Williams. As for AV gas, it is very good for...

Duramax in a '72 chevy truck????

With 4wd, you either have to adapt the early transfercase to the transmission or use the new transfercase & swap the front axle for one with a dr. side differential. On a 2wd, you just have to deal with the rear drive shaft.

    Water Pump Danger.

The whole premise about powering an electric water pump is a little misleading. They draw a bunch more power than you would think. Most do not realize that 1hp = 746 watts, which at 13.5volts is 55amps per hp. So in reality, you need a 700amps to drive a 12hp electric pump that was...

Duramax in a '72 chevy truck????

The swap is definitely possible but will take quite a bit of fabrication. Doing a 2wd makes things much easier & if you go with a manual trans, you will save a lot of floor clearance headaches. If I would have just swapped the drivetrain, I would have been done already... trying to fit the...

    '82 Duramax Swap Pictures

Progress is very slow. Had to give a little attention to another vehicle this summer as well... letting them sit around too long caused the need for a lot of maintenance. I know it isn't a diesel or a GM, but been having some fun with it. My last effort was to add the dual climate...
