That's nice. After you run a few WU's, I'd like to see what it sustains. Mine starts at 1050 and settles in at 700+ but again, it's a gtx460. Although, I'm running a dated tower.

I wish I could have grabbed a gtx480 but my wife did the shopping and the 460 was all she could find. Should have done the internet buy but had the time to do the install so we bought local. From what I have read, you will love the 480. Particularly if you do the overclocking. I was going to...

Rob, I read where FAH performs better with cards which have higher shading. I had plans to get an ATI card but after reading I decided an NVIDIA card was best for me.

Not sure if anyone else has had trouble with the smp client but I have with errors and lost log files. I installed FAH 6.30 client as a windows service and noticed the FAHLog was not as accurate and did not have much info. After some reading, I added -verbosity 9 to arguments in the config...

Cool, I read back but must have missed where you told us what you planned as the new card. What is it you are getting if you don't mind.

It is Rob. Seems a little slow compared to what other folks are getting out of the same card. Do you by chance have a screen shot of your GPU running a WU? Here is another screen shot to show the progress. I'm happy it all worked and I didn't decide on one of the computers Pat is using, probably...

See what you pro's think of this log so far. I went from doing a 12d GPU WU to looks like less that 2 hours. [04:13:08] Gpu type=3 species=30. [04:13:57] - Ask before connecting: No [04:13:57] - User name: Mike (Team 195247) [04:13:57] - User ID: AF30B1233B609A4 [04:13:57] - Machine ID: 2...

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to do something about the GPU iteration count. I was for sure on track to do WU on the slow and never get credit by not having them sent in on time. I am now upgrading my power supply and adding a NVIDIA GTX460 1gb version. Not sure on the super clocking...

I understand now. That's interesting about unlocking a third core. I must be processor dumb, had not idea some were like that. That GPU WU I was doing had to be dropped, the time to complete was for 3 days and it would not have been complete for 4 or 5 more days. I sent in what I had...

I think I read somewhere in the thread someone was running it offline but would reconnect so it would send. Sounds logical to me. Have you looked to see how many steps yours has total to completion? Your computer may be fast enough to run a million steps without having to check point. I know...

On another computer I have the systray client running with two CPU F@H clients running. It is doing about 1 percent every 6 or so minutes with 250,000 steps each. If yours isn't a hot rod computer, mine for sure isn't. This is the name of the client I downloaded and being the system tray...
