Yeah that looks alot more like what I have for wire colors. And the #'s match up. (y) Pinout I have show a LT BU / WT and two different pins as Injector Control #6. The other diagram shows like 3 to 5, 1 to 3, yet same wrong wire colors as in the pinout.. I was confused just trying to figure...

For first run, captured some decent data. Didn't sort out the firing order yet, as it didn't seem to complain, and I managed to capture some good J1939 canbus data. Have a pretty good understanding of what the FICM is saying to the ECM while it running now. Next we'll start fiddling with some...

And first fire video. Still has that darn fuel knock, so ya know it's alive. Source: https://youtube.com/shorts/EC7M6VOtsJM?si=lUx_pQa6aYmhhJ-k Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

Got the old girl running. Took a bit to bleed the fuel system, but once I get the throttle stop sorted, it Fired right up. Literally. Amazed, I hooked up the scope and captured some data below. As I thought, have some firing order issues going on relating to conflicts found in the pinout...

One nice thing about today's tech, you can easily pull up the pids to map the curves on about any ECU. And if your scale is off, you can most likely adjust it in the tune. So if you find an APPS that fits your build, you can likely adjust around it. That's how I stumbled onto the relationship...

My go to stick for bench testing E38-E92 and LBZ-LML has been this little 6 wire Camaro piece. I glued the lid from a Hickory Farms mustard jar to it as a thumb dial, and it's slick as you get for quick throttle response. Now if I could only find a buddy to let me test it in his vehicle. While...

Yup now a 6wire 2 signal, like all other GM units. Connector might be diff, but a corvette unit will link right up. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

While not as slick as billet sticks, my 2amp MacGyver hack got us a valid stopping position. @1FastBrick if you would like to saw that pedal assembly off and stick the mounting plate side in box to me, it might be helpful.. [emoji3] Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

I'd totally forgotten how old school these 3 APP signal pedal assemblies actually were. The OG PPE boat actually had a LLY truck pedal mounted to the transom with a 33C control cable connected where your foot would normally go. The travel was so short on old single lever dash throttle control...

Quick Macgyver job, and a couple more DTC's are cleared. Will share the hack, and maybe take the old girl for a drive tomorrow.

Yes, that would have saved me 4-5hrs I'm never getting back... But I told you to take it apart, so this one is on me. There is nothing wrong with wiring or the APP sensor, only we are using it outside of design specs. So I go digging back to page 26, where someone graciously listed our Rest 0%...

Do you have another? Just see if it's spring loaded when the bolt holes line up?

Today before hooking the FICM up to play musical file cabnet, then onto a 6" speaker, I learned a few things. First, my crank and cam signals were 180 out of phase on the pulses.. I stumbled onto some other Pico tool scope captures of an LLY and LBZ, then quickly noticed that my arduino emulated...

I just rechecked the pins at sensor, 3 5v Ref, 3 Low Ref, 3 APP Signals. I even used the exact same circuit #'s as the pinout diagram just to be sure. And all the wires match up color code from ECM to APPS. Leaving me to believe maybe the physical pedal has something to do with calibration...

Good to know on the pedal. I could possibly have 5v and low ref backwards, but checked it like 3 times now.. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

Next, I swapped in the LB7 ECM that @Cougar281 sent over. Powers up fine, and shows a good SN and VIN #, "masked some digits in photo.." However the APP issue remains, and it shows a Class 2 error. Yet responds fine to serial commands. The APP voltage on pedal out of a gasser must be different...

Weekend Updates. Finished tagging and bagging all the important sensor wires in the Kodiak LB7 harness. Checked, then triple checked, with volt meter, and ECM sensor pids using EFIlive. Everything powers up and relays respond as factory designed on the ECM side. Leaving the ECM in control of...
