The LBZ FPR uses a square slot in the plunger, while the LB7/LLY regulator uses a triangle slot. The square slot has more area, so the newer regulator will flow a bit more fuel. Not a huge amount, but the costs are similar, so why not use the newer one if you're replacing it anyway. As for the... -

No, it's all in the tune. The tune can be set as soft or aggressive as desired. I usually keep torque below 2000 RPM close to stock, and I usually soften up throttle response below 1/3 throttle a bit too. I find it is smoother to drive on rough roads and off-road. Above half throttle is where... -

Sounds like it is time for a scan tool. See if the ECU is receiving an A/C request or not. See what it sees for high side pressure. (Low side switch will present as a lack of A/C command despite the control module showing A/C on.) -

mysterious coolant system issue
If the cooling system isn't drawing a vacuum when cold (collapsing the upper radiator hose), then it is pulling in air somewhere as it cools. The theory is the only place to let fluid in/out of the system is the expansion tank, which captures excess coolant as it expands, then pulls it back in... -

Have you thrown gauges and a scan tool on it? Without gauges to see the pressures and a scan tool to see what the computer is trying to do, it is really hard to diagnose. In many states, auto part stores (Autozone, O'Reilly, etc.) will lend A/C gauges. Even without a scan tool, the gauges will... -

The shop said one of the clutch pack tolerances was set super tight, and that it should adapt it out, but if not, bring it back and they'd loosen up that pack. LB7 Range Shift Inhibited? Recently rebuilt the transfer case..
Check the wiring to the VSS on the transfer case. Since you just messed with the transfer case, that's the most likely thing to have been disturbed. If that isn't the problem, you'll need a good scan tool to read the transmission codes.- DAVe3283

You can do tunes by mail on a gas rig. Grab the latest EFILive software, update your V2 firmware, and pull the stock tune off and post it here (well, maybe make a new thread). Fuel level sensor

Fuel level sensor
As a point to consider, RockAuto has the OEM fuel sender for $233, vs. $128 for just the level sensor. The flex hoses tend to crack over time, so it is worth considering replacing the whole unit, IMO. I had to replace the one in my truck when the suction hose cracked and it started pulling air... -
LB7: Help requested - Tech 2 question on an A/C parameter
Huh, I thought I remembered it being available on the Tech2, but it is not. I'm running NAO 33.004, and no A/C high side pressure anywhere. It does work through EFILive, so that's probably how you'll have to go if you need the raw number. The Tech2 only displays A/C clutch command On/Off state.- DAVe3283

The LB7 does have a pressure transducer, and it is readable over the data bus. I use EFILive to read it, so I don't know if the Tech2 can display it or not. You don't need to replace the cups, just re-seal them. They're stainless steel and rarely take any damage. Inspect the sealing surfaces closely, both the cups and the head. No need to blindly replace them all. I wouldn't be surprised if all your cups are in perfect condition after cleaning. DO...
