Would bad head gaskets and etc affect injestor balance rates?

If I were to guess, that cylinder had less air available, resulting in a sootier burn. That could be due to lower valve lift, leaking head gasket, leaking rings, leaking valves, etc. It could also be poor fuel atomization from that injector. I personally wouldn't worry about that too much, as...

I need a little electrical help

It's trying to pull the voltage negative, not send power back to the truck. That's why the diode allows current to flow from ground to positive, to snub the negative spike that can keep/start an arc in the relay contacts. The inductance of the motors is like a long water pipe. When things are...

I need a little electrical help

Those are rated for 45 volts reverse voltage, and you should only see ~14V. During transient surge suppression, they aren't reverse biased. 15 amps forward current continuous with 275 amp surge. Very low forward voltage. Not seeing much info on their RF characteristics, which isn't surprising...

How much boost before you float the valves?

If you are leaving stock valve springs, I see no reason at all to upgrade pushrods. I'm running the SoCal beehive springs with stock LB7 pushrods, and I haven't had any issues so far. Pushrods are relatively easy to change, so if you do somehow bend the stock ones, you can swap them out in a...

How's everyone doing with this virus crap?

I think it's less about the virus and more about not giving up core freedoms to try and prevent the inevitable spread of the virus. I get what NC-smokinlmm is saying. Are we causing more damage with the shutdowns than the virus itself? The problem is the answer to that question is subjective and...

How's everyone doing with this virus crap?

One of my employees tested positive for COVID-19. The test results took so long to get back he's basically over it now. Luckily my whole team (and most of the company) has been working from home for almost 2 weeks now, so probably no one else would have been exposed. Still got to go through and...

    New thought on Onboard Welder

A lot of those lithium jump packs have safety circuits that try and prevent you from hooking them up backwards or getting a spark when connecting a battery, so they disconnect until they see a certain voltage, then they turn on the batteries. Since a spark when connecting is exactly what you...

    LMM: Electrical issues again

It could well be a broken wire or a bad ground on a module causing the bus to not work right. But it could be a failed module crashing the bus. A good code reader will helpfully at least let you see what is and is not communicating, and start narrowing it down.
