Top 53 RWYB Street Legal List

On the PC, there is a table button, then I just painstakingly copied & pasted the previous data, formatting it to look nice on the way.

This one served a different purpose, and was kind of fun in its own ridiculous way. I don't mind managing this one, if there is still interest.

OK, the new forum is a lot harder to create a table in, but once done, it sure looks a lot better. I'm not nearly as excited about people having updates to this list as I was before 😅 No.Screen NameTimeMPHBodyYearEngineWeightTires 1 @RPM Motorsports 8.640 166.17 Nova1973LBZ 3460 33.5x16R15...

Top 53 RWYB Street Legal List

I'll be happy to update it if someone posts a new time. I should probably take some time and figure out a way to format it that looks good on the new site. The conversion to XenForo was not kind to the way the list looks..

    LLY: flywheel housing bolt size?

I put the flywheel on at the end, since I was building the engine from parts. But you should be able to put a complete engine with flywheel on a stand. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

    Fuel cell questions

You can rescale it, but you will also need to add a 40 Ω resistor or so inline. If the ECU sees close to 0 Ω, regardless of what you scale it at, it fails a diagnostic and reports the fuel as 0%. At least on the LS motors. But add a resistor, then rescale it as if you had a 40-130 Ω, should work...

    Compression ratio question

I went with a reduced CR on my build and wish I kept the stock CR. If I was doing it again, especially with a 600-700 HP goal, I'd personally stick with the stock CR. Not to say my engine runs badly or anything. But off idle throttle response and haze is easier to deal with on a stock CR motor...

I hope you and your wife recover quickly, and you can enjoy retirement. Glad you're going to stick around for a while to keep passing on the trans knowledge. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

    S&B 10-1023 LB7 calibration

On the trip back from NorCal to Boise, no fuel stops (heck yes!) and arrived with the needle a smidge over ¼. Since it was CA/summer diesel, and it is known to get cold here, I filled it up so I don't gel up next time I drive. Took 35.5 gallons. I'm using the calibration with the reserve (I like...

Air filters for High CFM air flow?

I run the same AFE filter as you, and do the same thing to it with my S371. I've stoved in 2 of them so far. Bought the 7-layer version and that one is in one piece still, so maybe it works better? I wish I could even get 5k miles on a filter. They're usually black as can be by 3k miles, and if...

    New Mexico Members or Shops?

I don't think it will hurt the injector to dry fire, unless some tiny debris pushes up the nozzle from cylinder compression. I'd be more worried about the line leaking. I doubt that pinching it off will work. I'd think the pressure would open it back up and then you'd have a BIG leak. It will...

    New Mexico Members or Shops?

My original motor ate a glow plug and lost compression on #1. Ran it that way for 10,000 miles and it didn't seem to cause any additional damage besides when the glow plug tip bounced around and beat the piss out of the head and piston before wrecking an exhaust valve on the way out. So driving...

    Boost valve question

What MikeL just described is making your own boost valve. As you said, the point is to reduce the pressure seen by the wastegate. So just putting a restriction in line won't do it. That would cause the wastegate to open more slowly, but eventually the pressure would equalize, and the wastegate...

    Boost valve question

On a stock truck, there is 0 benefit for the boost valve. With tunes, it starts having some benefits (lower EGTs and potential for more power with larger tunes). For a 100 HP tune, I probably personally wouldn't spend the money. Save the $30 towards a built trans, which will have a way bigger...

    Boost valve question

A 100 HP tune might see some benefits from it. It would potentially lower EGTs a little, but on the smaller tunes they probably don't have enough fuel to make a difference. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
