I'll check them out as well.. Couldn't find my NIB thermostats, the ones I pulled out rubber is pretty hard so got new ones, also found the 3/4" hose version of the 800-409HP is the 800-419HP though it's aluminum vs steel

IDK where/who I saw do this for pulling bushing out but man it's nice not having to fight them. Just a 3/8 bolt flange nut washer and a socket that fits over the bushing

I'm remember reading about it in the magazine years ago, definitely lack of oil control can suck some HP for sure.. I know Richard holder and Eric weingarner have done series on YT about it as well. Downside most those engine are well passed the scope of what I built/or goals question became is...

Definitely has a nice shop for sure, I've heard guys go OCD nuts about how clean it is. Other hand... just because you and a clean shop doesn't mean I want them to do work for me.. Just because you can keep tools and space clean doesn't default you know how to build/rebuild something

Yeah that was a mess then, I've been of the position once it hits "ADD" mark change oil. But these are lease trucks and the company that leased them to us is in charge of maintenance.. Same company that spec'd the trucks to run 1900rpm at 75mph... So🤷🏻‍♂️😂 I'm just a lunch box local company driver😂

We've got a 9770, which 630 been head and 8 row corn is really kinda small for it, but that's biggest we can get away with on the avg terrain of our farms I'm told we've been avg 5% beens🫣 when we're normally 13-15%

He's a good parts changer is my short take, and has a wide experience of platforms as well. I question 3k service intervals for oil changes on regular normal on road vehicles. Just like I question Cummins saying their new X15 can go 50k miles on an oil change I burn 2 gallons doing it, but...

    BBC teardown and diagnosis

Yeah not thrilled. Its known stroked BBC have tendency to aerated the oil. To help counter that I'm running a deep 7qt pan with only 5qt in it. Should counter the problem some, I also choose no windage tray/screen when I built it. I was always under the impression that's for 5k and above RPMs...

IDK, I didn't take a timing light, only thing that was obvious was oil pressure dropped from 40 to 20 at idle after couple light test pulls. Edit I'm using 10w40 oil
