    Thank you all for your responses. The long block is stock with head bolts. The trans is a full Suncoast kit with 6 speed conversion. I dont race or push real hard. just some blasts up a quiet road. It took years to build, I dont want to break it and take years to repair it.

    here is a crazy question. do you have an aftermarket radio in the truck? I had one in a truck I purchased and there were all kinds of electrical gremlins. When I unplugged the radio everything started to work fine. Cost was zero for repair but a few hundred for a quality radio

    You can extend the time to transmission problems by you just manually being the torque management. meaning let up between shifts. after a gear is fully engaged it seems so less abusive to the clutches. If you feel the truck struggling, it probably is.
