what hp tune you running? 100-120 over stock? can't imagine you are tuned for max effort, which should put you into mid-high 12's. obviously you need a trans to run that tuning.
I call bs on 24mpg lifted truck with 36's. That dude should have stayed in school. Oh unless it was a kick ass tailwind or downhill all the way, then 24mpg still does not count.
My LB7 used to have a up and down idle, by about 50rpm. when it did it, I would add a quart of 2 stroke oil to the fuel for a couple tanks and it would clear it up. I think it was the cp3.
not gonna gain 2 mpg with gears. slow down and keep rpms at 1800-1900 and that will get the best mpg. LB7 should be seeing 19-22 with 33's depending on hills, wind etc.
Just ordered my S&B intake. Guess I will see what the sop meter says when I get it put on. Gotta sound better than the damn stock intake, and hopefully more air=less regens if nothing else.
Exactly Mike! You and I talked about having a great running truck and not removing emissions stuff. Hope this is where it goes. Also wanting to be able to tow with whatever set up comes out of this. Gotta say its a beast stock when the trailer is behind it.
Agreed,. My question was not exactly about the numbers, but as to whether the computer was cutting hp, which would be another issue to manage with the addition of tuning, turbo etc. to a stock emissions vehicle.
