I'm currently a college student and live in the dorms, so my 03' silverado unfortunately sits out all week (its from the family farm during the off season). It also has a very larg sub woofer system in it from when we got it, but when installed they mounted the capacitor wrong so the acid leaked out and shorted it (I'm guessing), resulting in slowly draining my batteries. My roommate / life long friend drives a 92' rust bucket of a Ranger. I had to borrow his spare keys for 2 weeks to jump my pickup about 2-3 times a week for a jump (2 weeks of 5-15 below 0 in ND). I have now replaced the old batteries and yanked the capacitor for now. However he insists his little ranger is the superior pickup because it always start, and what use is a pickup if it doesn't start (stubborn thick skulled Norwegian). So here is my question.. What is the best way to convince him that ANY Duramax powered vehicle is supreme over most any other vehicle? That or.. the best way to get him to shut up?
